A FREE science and engineering workshop at OSU for middle school girls Do you see science or engineering in your future? Join us for a day of exciting activities designed to help you see the world of possibilities in science and technology careers!
Date and Time: Saturday, November 7, from 8:15am - 1:15pm Location: International Forum (also called Memorial Union East, on the south side of Snell Hall), Oregon State University
Event Information: *This event is for any interested middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) girls and parents/guardians* The workshop will include an engineering team challenge, fun, hands-on activities, and the opportunity to meet successful female professionals and students in science, engineering, and technology. Wear your walking shoes, as you'll have a chance to step in to research laboratories and classrooms on campus, and through interactive tours and workshops, learn how scientists and engineers make a difference at OSU.
Registration: REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL. To add your name on a wait list, please enter your information HERE. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Registration deadline is October 30, 2009. The first girls to register will have first choice of tours. Registration is limited to the first 100 girls.
Liability Waiver: Please bring a signed waiver with you on the day of the event. Download the waiver form HERE.
Campus parking on Saturdays is free in all staff (red) and student (green) spots. The International Forum is found on the back side of Snell Hall, next to the Craft Center and across the driveway from Goss Baseball Stadium. We recommend parking in the lot on the corner of SW Washington Way and SW Benton Place. Please see the map linked HERE with each of these locations highlighted.
